Showcase Sunday #6

Showcase Sunday, hosted by Books, Biscuits and Tea.

This time there's no picture because there's far too many books to take pictures of! I'll just give you all a run down. And some slight teasers regarding giveaways next year. YAY for giveaways.

I got a copy of Mari Hannah's Monument to Murder (DCI Kate Daniels #4) for my mum at Waterstones when the author was there signing books, so I picked up a signed copy of The Murder Wall to give away in the New Year, so keep your eyes peeled. I also got And Then There Were none by Agatha Christie (Vicky at Books, Biscuits and Tea says it's a good place to start with Agatha Christie) and Blood Harvest by SJ Bolton. And then there's the abundance of totally-unrelated-to-this-blog books including even more signed swag that I won in the Authors for the Philippines auction and will also be giving away and a few festive buys including a new binding of Ballet Shoes which is so unbelievably pretty.

I have lots of festive offerings from Net Galley too. Only now my 76.6% feedback rating is down to 58%. Whoospie! But I'm looking forward to The Sacrificial Man by Ruth Dugdall

On the audiobook front I grabbed myself Soulless by Gail Carriger. It's one of my favourite series ever and I don't care how many times I've already read it, I'm seriously enjoying the audiobook.

  1. Wow you have amazing NG ratio! :D I felt kind of smug about mine being around 30 :D I must first finish review copies before I tackle NG ones... :)
As for Agatha, I am reading them according to the numbers of the place in series on the back of my novels. Just finish no. 4 today. I love her, must read more of these detective stories.
    Great haul! Happy reading!

    1. It used to be amazing haha. Finished two today so slowly starting to up it again.

I've never read Agatha Christie before and thought I should remedy that! Thinking of moving on to Poirot in order if I enjoy this one.

  2. Your net galley rating is 10% more than mine so your doing much much better than me! I know the feeling about having too many books! Hope you enjoy them :)

  3. I hope you enjoy all your new books :) and your audiobooks too! Do you find you need to concentrate when listening to them? So many people tell me audiobooks are great when you're doing other things, but I worry I'd miss important bits.

    1. I mostly listen to my audio books at work - I don't have to concentrate too much on them but I don't seem to miss anything from the books. It's a bit hit-and-miss with performers for me though, if the voice isn't right I can't listen!

  5. You got some great sounding books. I've never read Agatha Christie but really must. My NG ratio is 71.1% so I'm very happy with that. I haven't gotten any books from there just so I could up my ratio :) Enjoy your books!!

  6. Your Netgalley ratio is still really good! I've only just managed to get mine to 50%...
I've been wanting to read And Then There Were None for quite a while so I hope you enjoy it!

  7. My feedback # is strange. Mine is 127.5%. I don't really know if books I reviewed were later pulled from the site? I have no idea how I got the number that I have.

    1. Well, it definitely looks impressive! Hahaha. Perhaps you've managed to submit a review for a book you weren't approved for? I was able to do that once.

  8. My NetGalley ratio is 78.7% and I felt bad about that but I feel better now lol. I own And Then There Were None and I have really been wanting to read it since I read Ten by Gretchen McNeil.

    Here's my Haul!
